A little information about me: My husband, David and I live in Florida, having moved here from Oregon about  eight years ago. We had decided to move here to see what it was like living in the same place people like to come to for vacation. We love it here, even with Hurricanes, lightening, and rain! The beautiful sunny days and mild nights more than make up for it. I didn't realize until we moved here that Florida really does live up to it's name as the US Lightening Capital with strikes which can be scary at times.

We love our home that we share with 4 little female dogs. Two Chihuahuas, a Maltese and a Shih Tzu. My husband had his two Chihuahuas and I had my Maltese and Shih Tzu when we met, so now I tell people we are a 'Blended Family'.  It gets few chuckles, even though it's true. 

When we can, we like taking our Adult Tricycles around our neighborhood. We also try to get to most Community events, Grand Openings, volunteering, and the Beach of course. When we're not out and about, we're relaxing and taking care of our 'Fur Babies', as well any household chores. David, my husband, works on his computer with various projects he's got going. My favorite is relaxing with a good mystery on my Kindle, being the long time reader that I am. 

This of course leads me to explain why I chose to be a Proofreader. My love of the written word since I was young. Helping others with their writing, whether it be for work or pleasure. What better way to hone my own love of writing, than to be a Proofreader to help others with their writing skills. The written word, when heartfelt, is the ultimate form of expression in my opinion. Why not let me help you, so that you too can find your voice.

The other reason is that I had a health scare a few years ago, making me realize how short life can be. Since then I decided to live by a few rules for myself. Here they are:

1). Don't sweat the small stuff. 

2). Be who you are and don't make excuses.

3). Believe God has a purpose for your life, because He does.

4). Show love and compassion to your family, friends, and those around you.

5). And most of all, be true to yourself. You never know when or if you'll get another chance to be the best you can be.
